National Volunteer Week Celebration and Minibeasts Workshop

Join us in celebrating the invaluable contribution of Landcare volunteers at a special event featuring certificate presentations, lunch, and exciting workshops focused on live and preserved invertebrates (minibeasts!).

To make this celebration even more memorable, we’ve invited Travelbugs Mobile Minibeasts to host indoor workshops at the Landcare and Sustainable Living Centre, umali barai-ku. These interactive workshops will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of minibeasts.

To maximise opportunities for participation, we’ll be holding two workshop time slots. The workshops are scheduled around the Certificate of Appreciation Ceremony and lunch, allowing all attendees to mingle and celebrate together during the lunch break.

Please choose one of the following time slots:

Morning Session:

10:30am - 12:00pm: Minibeasts Workshop

12:00pm - 1:00pm: Certificate of Appreciation Ceremony & Lunch

Afternoon Session:

12:00pm - 1:00pm: Certificate of Appreciation Ceremony & Lunch

1:00pm - 2:30pm: Minibeasts Workshop

Additionally, if you'd like to celebrate with other volunteers from across Council, there will be a Council-wide Volunteer Celebration later in the week, with the Mayor and Councillors in attendance. It’s a great chance to connect with the broader volunteer community and be recognised for your valuable contributions.
